With a veterinarian as her father, Tessa began breeding some of her family's commercial cows to club calf AI sires as she neared the end of her 4-H career. In 2012 she sold her first 4-H steers and since then her and Colin have worked to improve and expand their prospect steer and heifer program. We AI a portion of our commercial cowherd to club calf sires and breed others to our proven walking sires. Our commercial herd is a mix of Simmental/Angus black baldy and black brockle face females, Shorthorn influence females (including a sizable group of blue roans being added in 2026) as well as some clubby influence females. We also run a large herd of purebred Limousin cattle under the name Hillview Farms Limousin with Colin's parents. We are committed to raising top quality steers and heifers that take youth to the front of the class in the 4-H and jackpot show ring. In order to serve our broad customer base with a variety of finish dates, we generally have a selection of calves to suit everyone's preferences! We have sold calves throughout Alberta, British Columbia, and Saskatchewan.
