From Our Outfit to Your's...
With Christmas just around the corner and the New Year following close behind, Colin and I would like to take a moment to extend our warmest wishes "from our outfit to your's" for a very Merry Christmas and bright New Year ahead!
This New Year is bringing some big announcements and changes for us! Firstly, I have been hired as the Sales and Marketing Coordinator for Edmonton Potato Growers Ltd. and I start tomorrow. My fall prospect calf sale and clinics will be continuing still, and actually will be growing! We plan to have double the number of calves on offer this fall from top club calf sires such as Monopoly, Eye Candy, Man Among Boys, Choppin Wood, Monopoly Money, and Comfort Zone. The calendar is filling up for clinics in 2015 and we are in the process of planning 3-day clinics in British Columbia and Saskatchewan as well! If your 4-H club or event is interested in a cattle clinic this coming year please contact me for further information and a list of available dates.
Colin and I have had a big project lately setting up our own farm. We are currently working on building the barn which will include calving facilities, a wash rack, front office, washroom, parking for trucks and equipment, feed storage, and covered handling facilities. I am also really looking forward to using this new barn for clinics and during our fall prospect show calf sale! We have a lot more work ahead of us but we are so excited to see the barn begin to take shape and it means so much more knowing we have phyiscally been involved in every aspect of building so far from constructing the posts to shoveling the gravel! We have also had fantastic family and friends help us and we are so very grateful!
We are also working on branding our business a bit differently, since after this July I will no longer be "Tessa Nybo" we are going to be changing the business name to fit the cattle and clinic business Colin and I are building. Stay tuned for updates!
In closing, we hope you enjoy this little bit of Canadian calving humour! We are really excited for the 2015 calf crop!
