Bronte at Olds Fall Classic

The first weekend of October we showed Bronte, along with four purebred Limousin calves from Hillview Farms (Colin's family's operation) at the Olds Fall Classic show. Bronte is a super stout, cool little heifer sired by Monopoly Money and out of the phenomenal "Tulita" cow sired by Eye Candy. I purchased Tulita as a heifer calf from Lucky Springs Farms of Rocky Mountain House, AB.

Last year Tulita's first calf was a heifer, Harlow, sired by CMAC Tyson. Harlow became my trusty clinic calf last year and travelled up and down the province of Alberta with Colin and I teaching youth how to clip, fit, and show their own calves. Harlow was a great example to work on and quickly became a seasoned pro with dealing with hundreds of exuberant youth!

This year, Bronte, Tulita's second calf, will be my clinic calf and already has a full schedule of clinics ahead of her with the first being the 4-H Alberta Beef & Sheep Leaders Update on November 22nd!
