Last Cattle Clinic of the Spring

This past Saturday, Colin and I facilitated our last cattle clinic of this spring. The clinic was for the Belle Valley 4-H Explorers near Busby, Alberta. We enjoyed a day of teaching the members about equipment and products, clipping, care of your clippers, fitting, halter breaking, showmanship, at home preparation, and much more! All of the members brought their steers and heifers to practice showmanship with and clip during the afternoon. With four chutes and sets of clippers going we successfully helped the members clip their seven steers and two heifers.

This was our last 4-H clinic of the spring however I am already booking clinics into next fall and spring. Over the next few weeks I will be busy judging showmanship at numerous 4-H shows across Alberta. I am looking forward to seeing many 4-H youth show off their achievements from this year!
