Cattle Shows and Clinics and Moving, Oh My!
The past two weekends we have certainly been on the go, which seems to just be regular pace now days. On Saturday of Easter weekend, I showed Harlow in the Olds Spring Classic show. We then packed up and headed up north to enjoy Easter festivities with Colin's family.
This past Saturday we made the four and a half hour trek out to Wainwright to facilitate a full day cattle clinic for the Greenshield's 4-H Multi Club. This clinic was purchased by the club from the Summer Synergy online fundraising auction last year and all proceeds from the clinic went to fund Summer Synergy's awesome youth livestock show held in Olds, Alberta annually in July.
On Sunday we took in a bit of the Mane Event, a horse expo held in Red Deer. We also had a lot of packing and loading to do as we moved out of our place in Olds since I am now officially done my Agricultural Management program majoring in Marketing at Olds College! The stock trailer was filled and we took a good portion of our wolrdly possessions to my parents' farm near Sundre until we have a house to put it all in! In the mean time we took our essentials to Colin's parents' place where we will be staying until we jet off to New Zealand and Australia on June 15th... more details on that coming in a future post soon!
